Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

The following statement is made in accordance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that TMP (UK) Limited is taking to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

TMP (UK) Limited helps organisations hire and retain better talent, through brand led direct resourcing, across entry level talent (apprentice, graduates and MBA), volume recruitment (contact centres, retail and manufacturing) and senior, professional & specialist hiring.

As a recruitment outsourcing provider, covering full RPO to Volume Recruitment and Project RPO, we develop, implement and administer assessment and selection processes that support equality, diversity and inclusion and deliver a positive candidate experience at each stage of the selection process. The selection tools developed ensure that slavery and human trafficking would not be a risk in the recruitment processes for us as an organisation and the clients we work with.

Due to the nature of the services we provide TMP (UK) Limited has relationships with many different clients, customers and suppliers. We are committed to opposing slavery and human trafficking in all its forms and we would expect the same from clients, customers and suppliers alike.

We operate robust systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses and would expect the same from our suppliers.

TMP (UK) Limited‘s statement on the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking guides our business dealings with all clients, customers and suppliers with whom we contract directly or who we appoint to act on our behalf.

All TMP employees have an obligation to familiarise themselves with our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy, to enable them to conduct business in a manner that ensures the opportunity for modern slavery to take place is prevented.

TMP (UK) Limited will take steps to ensure that its employees are aware of its Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy. The policy will be available to all employees through the employee self service system.

The Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy works in conjunction with and complements the existing Recruitment, Equal Opportunities and Employee Code of Conduct Policies.

Whilst understanding our statutory obligation to set out the steps we have taken to ensure that Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains, we are mindful of the fact that we are not in control of an individual’s conduct in our supply chains organisation.

To address this issue; TMP (UK) limited will be introducing the following:

  • risk assessments to determine whether our suppliers have the potential to be exposed to slavery and human trafficking, so that potential risk is identified
  • communicate TMP’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy to suppliers and gain an understanding of the preventative measures they have in place
  • introduce contractual provisions for our suppliers to confirm their commitment to the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking

Overall responsibility for ensuring that the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy and its implementation comply with our legal and ethical obligations will be with the leadership team. The statement and its application will be reviewed on an annual basis.
