    Highlights

    How we built a visual story-telling platform to bring an unknown brand to the forefront of the gaming industry. Literally.

      “We’re in!”: Before we’d even finished pitching, the client had agreed to go ahead with our idea.

      A permanent fixture: After three months of design and build, the lightbox is now the first thing you see when you walk into the London office

      Organic, user-generated content: Outside of being used in the EVP, colleagues are able to – and do – interact with the box to create content for themselves or other collateral.

    Challenge

    When we first met Jacob, he was very clear. “We’re an unknown brand with big ambitions. We want to attract people from both inside and outside the gaming industry.

      This wasn’t about just telling any old story. It was about telling the right story. A narrative that spoke for each and every individual at the organisation and each and every future individual.

      They didn’t need to simply stand out. They needed to stand up. As an unknown player in the jobs market, Pixel needed an idea that was as ambitious as they were.

      Something for everyone. Something for colleagues, external candidates and internal teams to use now and in the future.

    Solution

    How we collaborated

      Our Creative Team took the reins on this one. The lightbox was built to exist an extension of their EVP. A physical representation of their ambition. From meticulously planning the boxes’ angular design to installing fifteen neon strip lights, the quick installation meant colleagues were in and being photographed that afternoon.

      Our Project Management Team built a beautiful brand new relationship with an engaging and enthusiastic client. Creating solid foundations like these is so important. Not only opening the door to future work and campaigns but authentically building trust and familiarity with our business and theirs.

    What we delivered

    A 3D rendered logo. Members of staff are the Pixel United brand champions. They simply enter the booth and shoot selfies or film, and this content is then used across the organisation’s multi-channel recruitment communications.

    Neon. We photographed their people individually and in group scenarios, playing with lighting and composition to ensure variety and promote individuality.

    A new reputation. ‘Shift your reality’ was the messaging behind a new employer brand, and using the lightbox to create such unexpected, attention-grabbing recruitment communications, they’re well on their way to transforming their fortunes.
